Best and Promising Practices in Diabetes Education
|
| With financial support from the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Canadian Diabetes Association embarked on a project to identify ‘best’ and ‘promising’ practices in diabetes education based on the best available evidence; to develop an assessment tool that would identify these practices; and to disseminate the findings to diabetes educators, healthcare professionals, government, and key decision makers and funders of diabetes education programs. The ultimate goal of the project is to improve uptake and implementation of evidence-based ‘best’ and ‘promising’ practices in diabetes education in Canada by increasing awareness and knowledge of these practices and by increasing access to required tools, resources and financial support for diabetes education.
